Commission Terms of Service
By commissioning me, you agree to the following terms of service:ProcessPlease provide a reachable email address and/or phone number. I will reach out for more commission details via email or text within 2 business days.Details I will ask for:
1. Written description of commission request/project scope,
2. References of character(s) written or drawn. (Can include pinterest boards),
3. Budget (if applicable),
4. Preferred DPI and File formats you wish to receive image(s) in.You will receive an estimated time of completion based on our correspondence.I will send an invoice to you once you have agreed to the commission terms of service/contract.You may choose between paying in full, or paying in 3 installments (25%, 75%, and 100%).Commissions may generally take 1 week to 1 month to complete. Please be patient; I will reach out via email or text if there is a delay on my end.Commissions may take longer if the project scope is very large, or there are substantial revisions. However this will be dually agreed upon before the commission is started.PaymentA 25% minimum deposit is required for commission to begin.
(If you have already paid in full, this does not apply)I will deliver 2 in-progress shots: 1 upon receipt of 25% down payment (sketch phase), and 1 upon receipt of 75% payment.Full payment is required 30 days following delivery of the 75% in-progress screenshot.
(If you have already paid in full, the final image will be sent once complete)If full payment is not made within 30 days, the finished piece (including preferred file formats ie. PSD, JPEG, etc) will be withheld until such time as the payment is made in full.RevisionsRevision requests can be made during the sketch phase for no additional charge.2-3 small requests for revisions can be made at the 75% payment stage, but large revisions may incur additional fees.Revisions requested after delivery of the final payment and artwork will incur additional fees.What you receiveA digital copy of the commission in JPEG or PNG format.
Other formats provided upon request.Physical formats such as canvas, paper, print, panel, etc. will be subject to extra shipping & handling fees. I will only provide a physical copy if dually agreed upon in our correspondence and contract.Refunds & CancellationsI reserve the right to decline, refund, or cancel a commission at any time.If you do not reply to a commission details email or text within 7 days, I will automatically decline/refund the commission.Should cancellation occur, you will be refunded for any incomplete pieces of the commission.Full refund requests will only be furnished if the artwork has not yet been started.Example: If you have already paid in full, but the sketch process has begun (25% down payment), you will receive only a partial refund (75%).Usage RightsAll commissions purchased are for personal, non-profit use. Any other rights are retained by the artist unless otherwise agreed upon.If you would like to use a commission for commercial use, please reach out to me at [email protected] for a quote & commercial contract.In the case of existing characters (ie. Fanart) I do not claim the intellectual property of the commissioned piece as my own, and will not resell it for commercial purposes.I reserve the right to post the artwork online and in my private portfolio unless otherwise agreed upon.You can repost the commission to your blog, social media, etc. but must credit me or link to my website https://katkim.myportfolio.com/Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
